Count down…

24 hours until we leave Cali for the first leg of our journey!

I am packed. And when I say packed I mean EVERYTHING is taken care of! All of my belongings are in two bags or a couple of boxes to be shipped. I am surprisingly calm. None of the incredible stress or physical reactions that would normally accompany such and exiting trip. I am either in denial or well-adjusted. To facilitate this I am drinking some nice calming Chardonnay. I may switch to martinis though. Why you might ask? Well, I have not been buying groceries and there is only a glass of wine left in the bottle. If I bought another bottle I would have to drink the entire thing tonight. I decided it would be better not to, as fun as that sounds. So I am off to have some wine and breathe deep.

Lots of Stuff

Did you know there is a lot of preparation involved in a 6 month trip? Yuck! I spent a couple of hours on the phone with the phone people, the insurance people, the credit card people. There are many people you need to speak to to take care of your shit. In less than a week we will be on a plane and the adventure will begin. Again. It is always an adventure. California has been an adventure, and a fantastic one!

My Clothes!

Dear Clothes,
I will miss you. I am sorry I have to leave so many of you behind. I am not abandoning you. My friends will come over any look through you. Some of you will find new homes, be loved and worn by new people. Some of you will be going to Goodwill and find a place with someone who really needs you. I am sorry I can not keep all of you. If you would like to be proactive you can write the airline and protest the weight limit.
Best Wishes,
Jules
